signing Dimitar Berbatov after scoring Spurs' winner
Tottenham maintained their unbeaten run in the build-up to the new Premiership season with victory over Inter Milan.
Teemu Tainio scored the winner with 11 minutes to go when he rounded off his 50-yard run with a left-footed curler which found the corner of the net.
The Finland international had earlier opened the scoring for Spurs on 36 minutes when his low strike took a deflection off Marino.
Inter were level at the break through a tap-in from Obafemi Martins.
Tottenham fielded summer signings Dimitar Berbatov and Benoit Assou-Ekotto against the Serie A champions in their friendly at White Hart Lane.
And Berbatov was soon in the action as he set up an early attack for the hosts after 10 minutes when his pass to Edgar Davids was laid off to Tanio, who saw his volley deflected wide.
Robbie Keane also went close with a volley but Inter keeper Francesco Toldo managed to tip it around the post.
But it was Tainio that proved the star of the show and proved there is life after Michael Carrick as the England midfielder edges closer to his switch to Manchester United.
