Nicolas Anelka claims he has agreed to join Bolton on a four-year deal.
The French striker, currently at Turkish side Fenerbahce, has revealed he has agreed to sign for Sam Allardyce's men and that a deal could be finalised soon.
"My wish is to return to the Premier League and it could materialise soon.''
"I have an agreement with Bolton on the basis of a four-year contract."
"I hope everything will be finalised early next week," he told French daily L'Equipe.
Anelka has previous experience of English football, having played for Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.
Bolton have been desperately trying to sign a striker all summer, and the need for another forward intensified after a deal taking Jared Borgetti to Saudi club Al Ittihad was finalised on Sunday.
