NO UNITED BID FOR ADRIANO - INTER

Adriano - no United offer yet

Inter Milan say they've had no offer yet from Manchester United for Brazil striker Adriano.

Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly still looking to sign a top-class striker to replace the departed Ruud van Nistelrooy, who moved to Real Madrid.

And Thursday's Daily Mirror claims after missing out on Fernando Torres the Old Trafford boss has turned his attentions to Adriano, and is ready to mount a £30million raid on the San Siro.

But Inter chief Massimo Moratti says he's had no contact from England, and isn't looking to offload anybody at present.

He told the club's official website: "There is no deal with or request from Manchester United."

Inter have beefed up their striking ranks considerably this week by signing Hernan Crespo on loan from Chelsea and Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Juventus for £16million.

And that could mean a big-money United offer for Adriano could prove difficult to turn down.

Another Inter striker linked with a move to England is Nigerian Obafemi Martins, who has been linked with several Premiership clubs.
