Chelsea have agreed to sell Spanish international left-back Asier Del Horno to Primera Liga side Valencia.
The Premiership champions have not revealed any details of the fee involved, but Del Horno has travelled to Spain to discuss personal terms.
Del Horno, 25, joined Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao for £8m last summer but struggled to hold down a regular place.
He made 25 league appearances last term but missed the end of the season and the World Cup because of injury.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for Arsenal's Ashley Cole and Real Madrid's Roberto Carlos as replacements for Del Horno.
The defender had been tipped for a return to former side Athletic Bilbao a year after they sold him to the Blues.
But he admitted earlier this week that Valencia was his prefered choice.
